The Alabama men's and women's basketball teams will, once again, welcome in the new season with the Supe Store Tide Tipoff Event, which will take place on Friday, Oct. 21, at Coleman Coliseum. The excitement will continue following the basketball portion with performances from special guests.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. CT with a 45-minute autograph session featuring both teams and coaches. Student-athletes will be spread throughout the concourse, while head coaches Avery Johnson and Kristy Curry will be at a table in the south concourse. The teams will then participate in a variety of on-court activities including team introductions, a dance contest, a skills competition, a three-point shootout and a dunk contest with celebrity judges.

Admission to the event is free for students as well as season ticketholders for men's and women's basketball. Tickets will also be on sale for the general public at a cost of $5 per ticket.

Season ticketholders will receive an e-mail from the Alabama Ticket Office to claim print-at-home tickets online. Each season ticketholder can claim the same number of tickets for Tide Tipoff as they have season tickets. If a season ticketholder would like to purchase additional tickets, that option will be available at checkout for $5 per extra ticket.

UA students, admitted one per student ID, will swipe their Action Card similar to a regular basketball game at the west entrance of Coleman Coliseum on event night beginning at 6 p.m. CT.

Seating at the event will be first come, first serve with general admission seating. UA students will have the opportunity to stand in a designated area on half of the court throughout both the basketball event and musical performance, however, space is limited, and it will also be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Season tickets for the upcoming men's and women's basketball seasons as well as men’s basketball mini-plans are currently available and can be purchased online at, by phone at 1-877-TIDETIX (843-3849) or at the Alabama Ticket Office, located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum. Fans will also be able to purchase season tickets the night of the event.

Single-game tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 24, at 8 a.m. CT.
