Friday, August 14, 2020 kicks off Alabama Restaurant Week, which showcases the appreciation for the state’s restaurants and their staffs.

Though its title indicates a week’s observance, it’s actually a 10-day celebration, ending on August 23.

The Alabama Department of Tourism has selected the following Tuscaloosa and Northport restaurants for its list of “where to eat” (closed restaurants omitted):

  • River
  • Druid City Brewing Co.
  • Legends Bistro & Bar
  • Archibald’s
  • Baumhower’s Restaurant
  • City Café
  • Evangeline’s
  • Mugshots Grill  & Bar
  • 301 Bistro, Bar, & Beer Garden
  • Bob’s Victory Grille
  • Black Warrior Brewing Company
  • Guthrie’s
  • Momma Goldberg’s
  • Dreamland Bar-B-Que
  • Mary’s Cakes & Patries
  • Full Moon Bar-B-Que
  • Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q

While all of these are fantastic places to enjoy a meal and good company, there are numerous other restaurants in West Alabama that offer an experience in addition to the food.

7 Tuscaloosa Area Restaurants to Visit During Restaurant Week

Of course, there are countless others frequented by area residents (like Tuscaloosa's Archibald and Woodrow's, which is a bit different from the original Archibald's Bar-B-Que in Northport).

If there was another business you think provides a unique dining experience in our area?  What makes it so great? Where do you get service that is the epitome of what would expect of Southern hospitality?
