7 Tips For Driving in the Rain
It is, of course, inevitable there will be more traffic accidents during inclement weather. There are some things that Mother Nature throws at us that are out of our control. However, there are always a few extra steps you can take behind the wheel to ensure not only your own safety, but those around you.
Some things are common sense, like turning on your windshield wipers or just postponing your trip if you know you struggle driving in the rain. In the same vein, telling you to be more aware of your surroundings is a little insulting, let's be honest. After all, that's one of the first keys to driving effectively.
That said, for some of us, it's been a while since we've been on the roadways, as we've been staying indoors to flatten the COVID-19 curve. I know that's been the case for me. Being back on the roads can be a little daunting, especially when the roads are heavily occupied when they were empty for so long.
Sometimes a little refresher is welcome and necessary. And with that, some honorable mentions go to staying off your phone (!) and making sure your equipment like tires and brakes are up to snuff. Now, here are seven tips to keep in mind while driving in the rain.
