Winter Storm Watch: Here’s The Latest from the National Weather Service
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for much of our listening area in advance of a weekend that could bring significant snowfall to Tuscaloosa and the rest of central Alabama.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham issued the Winter Storm Watch yesterday, and the watch is in effect Friday morning through Saturday morning in the counties highlighted in the map above.
Snow and sleet could begin to fall as early as Friday morning, and by Saturday there's a possibility that Tuscaloosa could see up to TWO INCHES of snow and sleet. Take a look at the latest snowfall projections from the National Weather Service in the map below.
