Wilder Says Pre-Fight Costume Weighed Him Down
According to the Associated Press, Deontay Wilder says the outfit he wore into the ring Saturday night wore him down to the degree that his legs weren’t right by the time the fight started. Wilder says the outfit was a tribute to Black History Month and weighed 40 pounds.
He also expressed his disdain for having the towel thrown in to end the fight, as he’d previously made it abundantly clear that under no circumstance should he go down that way.
After a previously scheduled trip to Africa, Wilder plans to resume training in preparation for a third fight against Fury, which he has 30 days to accept. He says that he’s a warrior and that he is willing to die in the ring. Full story.
