There are few things in sports better than a very close game. Recently, UAB faced UTEP at the Conference USA Women's Tournament at Bartow Arena. It was so close the game had to go into overtime, but what happened next is causing a lot of controversy.

With a score of 62-59 and less than a second left, UAB senior Chelsea Black released a shot from halfcourt.... And made it! Those three points should have sent the game into double overtime, right? Well, that's not what happened. Officials say Black didn't get the shot off in time.

A buzzer beater is described as "a shot that leaves a player’s hands when there is time left on the clock and goes through the basket (or doesn’t) after time has expired." So, it appears that this shot should have counted. What do you think?
