Jefferson County sheriff's officials say they're searching for a McCalla man in connection with the deaths of his wife and two children.

(AP) Officials said in a statement Wednesday that 47-year-old Stephen Sean Hutcheson, of McCalla, is wanted on capital murder charges. He is said to have stood over his wife 49-year-old Doris Hutcheson, 14-year-old daughter Kimberly Hutcheson and 12-year-old son Peyton Hutcheson, and fatally shot them all. Their bodies were found after a relative called authorities for a welfare check.

Sheriff's officials say Hutcheson is suspected of meeting his girlfriend at a hotel after the Friday night slaying. Authorities say Hutcheson's unidentified girlfriend has cooperated with investigators and isn't suspected in the shootings.

Sheriff's officials say Hutcheson remains at large and could be in a 2005 Dodge Stratus with Alabama tag 1AS7156. More on the story and pictures.
