The new school semester is here and the pandemic has changed the learning habits of students across Tuscaloosa and the nation. Students have been without normal school face to face instruction and many students are struggling in school. No fear! Help is here locally for our students.

I have kids in elementary school and I think its a good way to give them a extra boost in learning and to help them succeed in class this semester. The pandemic has set many students back in learning due to the cons of virtual learning and the crazy schedules school systems have had to adapt to due to the virus situation.

The University of Alabama's Culverhouse School of Accountancy is lending a helping hand to Tuscaloosa students in grades K-12 who may need extra tutoring services for the semester.

Registration is open for our free youth tutoring services. Students who register for the free program will be paired one-on-one with a University of Alabama undergraduate or graduate student who will be available for 8 weeks for 75 minutes per week at no charge. Tutoring will be conducted through Zoom, and all tutoring will be monitored by graduate assistants and staff. UA students are trained and dedicated for the 8 week period. You can choose Monday at 6pm, Tuesday at 6pm, Wednesday at 6pm, or Thursday at 6pm for your reserved tutoring space. Tutoring is available for grades K-12.
If you are interested, please visit their website lift.culverhouse.ua.edu  or call 205-928-8258. Registration is open for the next 2 weeks, but space usually fill up quickly. Tutoring begins Tuesday, February 2, 2021!
