As the winter season approaches, Eastwood Middle School is gearing up for an enchanting event that promises to make lasting memories for its students—the Winter Wonderland Dance. Organized by the collaborative efforts of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team, this magical evening aims to create a festive atmosphere for students to celebrate and enjoy the spirit of the season.

The key to any memorable dance lies in the attire, and Eastwood Middle School is reaching out to the community for support. In an effort to make this winter formal accessible to all students, regardless of financial constraints, the school is hosting a Winter Formal Donation Drive.

The focus of the drive is to collect gently used formal wear, including formal dresses, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses for girls, and suits and tuxedos for boys. The idea is simple but powerful: by donating your pre-loved formal attire, you can contribute to creating a magical night for a student who may not have the means to acquire such attire otherwise.

The Winter Formal Donation Drive is an opportunity for the community to come together and support the students at Eastwood Middle School. Whether you have a beautiful gown that's been worn only once or a sharp tuxedo that's been hanging in the closet, your donation can make a significant impact on a student's experience at the Winter Wonderland Dance.

Donating is easy. Simply gather your gently used formal wear and drop it off at the designated donation center within the school premises. The school will be accepting donations during specified hours 8am-3pm at Eastwood Middle School 6314 Mary Harmon Bryant Drive in Cottondale, making it convenient for community members to contribute.

Not only does this donation drive help students access formal wear for the Winter Wonderland Dance, but it also promotes sustainability by giving a second life to clothing that might otherwise go unused. It's a win-win situation—supporting the community and the environment simultaneously.

Eastwood Middle School encourages everyone in the community to participate in the Winter Formal Donation Drive and make a difference in a student's life. Your generosity can turn an ordinary night into an extraordinary one, fostering a sense of inclusivity and unity within the school community. The dance will be December 8, 2023 at EMS.

So, dig into your closets, dust off those elegant dresses and stylish suits, and be a part of creating magical memories for the students at Eastwood Middle School. Let's come together and ensure that every student has the opportunity to shine bright at the Winter Wonderland Dance. Your donation may be the key to unlocking a world of joy and confidence for a deserving student.
