How Are Students Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day In Tuscaloosa, Alabama?
It's St. Patrick's Day in Tuscaloosa, and people are out celebrating all over town.
We took a trip to Downtown Tuscaloosa to see how the bars were looking and get a feel of how students were celebrating.
There were plenty of specials at every turn. You pick a bar and it was almost guaranteed they'd have some kind of special going on.
The Gray Lady served green Coors Light, World Of Beer served a Shamrock Shake Cocktail, and Innisfree Pub had plenty of green beer.
Two students from the University of Alabama said they were celebrating today by "eating some bangers and mash, hanging out with friends, and drinking green beer."
So far, their favorite part of the day was something completely unexpected.
"There was a lady who made a big green cake, and she brought it in and was splitting it up for everyone to enjoy."
According to the students, it was for the birthday of one of her family members and she wanted everyone to join in on the celebration.
Aside from Downtown Tuscaloosa and drinks, other St. Patrick's Day celebrations and specials are happening around town. Krispy Kreme is serving green donuts today and even has a chance for you to grab an extra donut if you're wearing green.
