Our Tuscaloosa Pastor of the Week is Pastor Steve Hamner of the Word of Faith Church of Tuscaloosa. Pastor Hamner has served as a pastor for at least 30 years and is a powerful preacher, teacher and leader. I remember him as a child, he could always preach conviction and power. Steve Hamner is the senior Pastor of the Word of Faith Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 19. The impact of the moment changed his life his life forever. He became assistant pastor of the Interdenominational Church founded by his former Pastor Cleo Lathon, because of his faithfulness to leadership and his love for the ministry.
In 1991, he took over as senior pastor of the church. Pastor Hamner help build their current modern church sanctuary in 2004. He is married to Synobia Hamner and they have four children: Tavaris, Talisa, Nicholas and Derek. Steve and Synobia are members of Faith Chapel Christian Center in Birmingham under the leadership of Dr. Michael Moore.
Pastor Hamner hosts a weekly Youtube teaching series as well from his church.
