Tuscaloosa Has The First Case Of COVID-19
Tuscaloosa has the first case of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and when more information becomes available, this story will be updated. Alabama now has more cases of the COVID-19. The first case was from Montgomery County, the second case was from Jefferson county, and now according to ABC 33 40, "the three most recent confirmed patients are located in Elmore County, Limestone County, and Tuscaloosa County."
The World Health Organization offers some recommendations for necessary protective measures such as to "wash your hands frequently, maintain social distancing, avoid touch eyes, nose and mouth, practice respiratory hygiene, if you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early, and stay informed and follow the advice given by your healthcare provider." Dr. Bobo gave ABC 33 40 some more advice about how to avoid catching the coronavirus, "Dr. Bobo said people should avoid high-risk areas and stay six feet away from others. He also doesn't recommend sharing food, beverages, or shaking hands."
