These Two Bonded Dogs Are In Search Of A Loving Home

Have you ever heard the term "Wiener dog?" Sad to say, I thought that was the regular name for this breed of dog. I recently found that the correct name is Dachshund.

According to DogTime.com, Dachshunds are typically the type of dogs that keep you on your toes and shower you with love. They're known to be affectionate with family, they don't drool a lot, and they're not that hard to groom. This breed is also said to be good for new dog owners as well.  Every week they highlight a new pet up for adoption and this week we have a special package deal. Snickers & Carolina are this week's Humane Society Of West Alabama's Pet Of The Week.

Press Release

Snickers and Carolina are a bonded pair of senior dachshunds seeking a new home together. Snickers is 12-years old and Carolina is 13-years old, so they would prefer a calmer home environment, especially one without younger children. They are loving dogs who enjoy running around and being outside, but they also like to snuggle up inside. These dogs both recently underwent minor surgeries, but are now in good health and looking for a second chance at forever.

They are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm negative. Their adoption fee is $125. If you'd like to set up an appointment to meet these senior sweeties, please call us at 205-554-0011 or email humaneswa@yahoo.com.
