The mayors of Tuscaloosa and Auburn will continue their annual commitment of pouring back into the community through their friendly Iron Bowl competition, which was announced Monday.

The SEC announced the time for the 87th Iron Bowl on Monday.

One lucky teacher from Alabama will score tickets to watch the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Auburn Tigers at the end of the month, courtesy of the king and queen of Alabama football.

The friendly philanthropic competition between the rival institutions will hold its kickoff event on the steps of the state capitol for the first time since 2019 on September 30.

With no real reason to maintain upkeep on the stadium, Alabamians are witnessing the historic venue's slow demise.

Three days ahead of the annual Iron Bowl game between Alabama and Auburn, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Alabama Athletic department.
