Iron Bowl

The Iron Bowl is just weeks away, and now a kickoff time has been set for the annual rivalry game.

Alabama went on the road and fell to in-state rival Auburn today 48-45. The Crimson Tide scored the most points that Auburn has given up all year but it wasn’t enough to claim the victory on The Plains. Alabama kicker, Joseph Bulovas missed a 30-yard field goal off the left upright with 2:00 left in the game that would have tied the game up at 48.

The Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1) hit the road today to take on Auburn (8-3) at 2:30 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Coach Nick Saban takes his fifth ranked Crimson Tide to The Plains, hoping to lead his team to a decisive win to leave an impression on the College Football Playoff Committee.

Top-ranked Alabama has a chance to complete another undefeated regular season while Auburn looks to disrupt that mission for the second straight year.

With the SEC Championship Game already set, the conference announced all of the starting times for the final two weeks of the season.

Back in November, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts made a bet with NBA on TNT's Charles Barkley about the outcome of the Iron Bowl.

In the least surprising news of the day, CBS has selected the Iron Bowl for its 2:30 p.m. game of the week on November 25.
