There was no football practice Monday for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Instead, its players and coaches participated in a march protesting the social injustices that have ignited outrage again throughout the country. From Breonna Taylor, to George Floyd to Jacob Blake, we have all seen and heard about the instances of violence at the hands of police that have sparked social unrest in the country.
Despite all the division and uncertainty that this country is experiencing, Alabama Football has decided to come together and stand united as one.
In hopes of putting an end to the institutional racism in the world, they have one quote that they believe will incite a change. “All lives can't matter until black lives matter".
In recent weeks, many have been speaking out and protesting racial injustice and police brutality. Black Lives Matter murals have emerged all over the United States. We will soon be able to add Downtown Birmingham to that list.
