Disney Officially Announces ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Ticket Pre-Sale Info
Following our early reports of Star Wars: The Force Awakens ticket pre-sales, Disney and Lucasfilm has confirmed the details of the advanced ticket sales. Tickets will officially be made available for pre-sale tomorrow night during ESPN’s Monday Night Football, timed to the release of the new — and final — official trailer for The Force Awakens.
Tickets for The Force Awakens will officially go on sale during tomorrow night’s game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. The game kicks off at 8:15pm ET, with the full trailer arriving during halftime. Following their release of the official poster for The Force Awakens, Disney and Lucasfilm confirmed that tickets will go on sale after the trailer debuts and will be available for purchase everywhere movie tickets are sold, including official theater chain websites and Fandango.
In addition to single tickets, tickets will also go on sale for the Star Wars Marathon at select theaters, which will lead into the first screenings of The Force Awakens on December 17. Those tickets will cost $50 for all seven movies, and while The Force Awakens will be presented in 3D, it will not be in IMAX (so, if you want to see The Force Awakens in IMAX, you’re going to have to purchase a separate ticket).
For the curious, here is the full schedule for the Star Wars Marathon:
Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace: 4:00am
Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones: 6:30am
Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith: 9:10am
Star Wars: 11:45am
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back: 2:05pm
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi: 4:30pm
Star Wars: The Force Awakens: 7:00pm
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18.
