Several Fun Events Planned for Tuscaloosa Communities
Just as the City of Tuscaloosa and other community leaders launched a campaign for 100 days of nonviolence, area residents are announcing various upcoming events, aimed at strengthening community bonds.
This Sunday, April 29, Big Boy Entertainment and BellyGang have joined forces to host a kickball game at Evans Roshell park in Holt. The goal of this event is to combat bullying and to show the children how to have a good time without violence.
On Sunday, May 27, the 4th Annual Westend Kickback will be held at Westend Park, beginning at 3pm. Event organizers say there will be bounce houses for children in addition to music provided by DJ Woo.
Also Sunday, May 27, comedian Kahlia Leo is hosting H2Go, an Adult Water Gun/Balloon Fight at Palmore Park. The event begins at 6pm, and is being marketed as an ADULT event. So, if you decide to bring your child and the child is hit or sees more than you want him/her to see.... Never mind. Just don't bring your kids.
These all sound like fun events. So, make plans to attend and prove that we CAN all get along, even in friendly competition.
