Schools Across Alabama Close Early Ahead of Severe Weather Threat
Schools across the state are closing early or canceling after-school activities ahead of the threat of severe weather Wednesday. Watch this post for more information as it is released.
School closures announced so far included:
Tuscaloosa City Schools: All after-school activities have been cancelled.
Tuscaloosa County Schools: all TCSS after-school activities, including extended day, are canceled.
Birmingham City Schools: all after-school activities have been cancelled.
Blount County Schools: all schools in the system will close at 12 noon.
Greene County Schools: all schools in the system will close at 2 p.m.
Hale County Schools: all schools in the system will close at 1 p.m.
Jefferson County Schools: all after-school activities are cancelled, schools will open two hours late Thursday
Walker County Schools: all schools in the system will close at 1 p.m.
Winston City Schools: all schools in the system will close at 1:30 p.m.
