The threat of winter weather has local leaders concerned about potentially dangerous commutes on Monday, January 11th.

School closings and delays for Monday, January 11th are listed below:

The Tuscaloosa City School System just announced it plans to operate on a two-hour delay. Transportation schedules will run two hours later than normal, and employees are expected to arrive two hours later as well. Breakfast will still be served for green day students who are on campus tomorrow.

Tuscaloosa County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay. Buses will pick up three hours past their normal pick-up times, and schools will begin three hours after their normal start times. Schools will dismiss at their regular times, and afternoon bus routes will run at their regular times. There will be no early morning extended day services on Monday, but afternoon extended day services will still be held. Lunches will be served.

Bevill State Community College is delayed until 10 a.m.

Fayette County Schools will be closed for the day.

Haleyville City Schools are closed for the day. Virtual classes will still be in operation.

Lamar County Schools are closed for the day. Teachers are still to report at 10 a.m.

Marion County Schools are delayed until noon.

Pickens County Schools are closed for the day. Virtual classes will still be in operation.

Shelton State Community College is delayed until 10 a.m.

The University of Alabama’s Tuscaloosa and Gadsden campuses are both delayed until 10 a.m.

Walker County Schools are delayed until noon.
