I remember during the 1960s civil rights struggles I along with others took turns in guarding the home of Rev. T.Y. Rogers.He was the pastor of the First African Baptist church and the president of the Tuscaloosa Action Committee. Rev. Rogers was not big in stature;but he had a big heart. I think people feared him because of his courage. He didn't fear anything or anybody.
