New Five Star Hotel on Tuscaloosa Riverfront Expected to Open in 2017

A new five-star hotel is coming to the Tuscaloosa Riverfront and is expected to be open for business by 2017.

ABC 33/40 reports The Regent Club Hotel will be built on Rice Mine Road near Cypress Inn; the hotel will have six stories and 135 rooms. The Regent Club Hotel will be Tuscaloosa's first five-star hotel, offering deluxe accommodations like a water taxi service to take fans across the Black Warrior River to the University of Alabama.

Construction on The Regent Club Hotel is expected to begin in 2016; the opening date is currently projected for 2017. You can read more about the project on their official website.
