Many of the pharmaceutical companies have created patient assistance programs that make their medicines possible at no charge or reduced cost to those in need. Each company has its own selection process, application forms, and eligibility guidelines.

Using information you supply, they assess your situation to see if you qualify under the patient assistance program administered by the company that produces your prescription medicine. If you qualify, they work with you and your doctor to enroll you in the program administered by their company.

Once your claim, together with supporting paper work is approved, they will send your medicine either directly to your doctor or you will be issued a card that will allow you to get your prescription filled by your pharmacist.
