Low-Risk-Danger
Children of God are apt to make mistakes in their spiritual judgment when the pressure is off and their life is characterized by prosperity and success rather than the high risk of adversity and trouble. If difficult circumstances are not reminding them of their need to keep their eyes on Christ, they can easily lapse into an attitude of indifference.
Without thought we sometimes assume that because our lives are moving along smoothly we are not likely to slip. However, it is during these low risk times that we lower our concentration and fall into sin. We must be as careful during these times as we are in the larger challenges of life.
A consistent Christian is one who maintains a close walk with God when there is no pressure in life as well as when the pressure of life is at its peak.
