I like to search for ways to help those in our community. In this new year, many have made resolutions or simply a promise to themselves to accomplish a long sought after goal. For some, that may be finally getting that GED. It could be for a job, or a possible opportunity. Others may want to get a GED to finally prove to themselves that they can do it.

I know what it's like to have a goal like that. The crazy thing is, it's not always something big. For the longest I wanted to learn how to skateboard, just to prove to myself that I could actually do it. When I was younger I fell off a skateboard one time and never got back on one because I was traumatized. Finally learning how to skateboard was a huge feat and checking that off my list was an amazing feeling.
