Kassidy Hill Expects Emory Jones to Start at QB for Florida on Saturday
The Gators, much like the Crimson Tide, have a list of issues that need to be addressed. And with not a lot time left before Florida takes the field against Alabama, things are up in the air. The first SEC contest of the year for both teams will set the stage for how each team with perform overall in the conference.
The Florida QBs have been shaky for the team, and many are questioning how they'll look. Anthony Richardson is dealing with a hamstring issue. Hill elaborated on the QB situation for the Gators.
In regards to Richardson's hamstring "According to Mullen, it's a tightened hamstring not pulled. That's gives him a much better chance of playing Saturday" Hill said, "His plan is for him to play Saturday."
Dan Mullen, the head coach of the Gators has had trouble against Nick Saban. His competitive nature shows no matter what game. Hill elaborated.
"He's 0-10 against Nick Saban. It drives him crazy" Hill said, "But he's good about giving Nick Saban the respect he deserves...but that doesn't make a difference when you're standing across the field from him."
Todd Grantham, the Gators defensive coordinator, has been under scrutiny numerous times. His play calling is aggressive, and leaving openings could be costly for the Gators. Hill talked about his potential plan for Saturday.
"Todd Grantham doesn't know how to call a conservative game. He'll blitz from the parking lot. I think that's his plan early" Hill continued, "Because you do have a quarterback making his first true road start."
