Neese reportedly struck the rear of a 2018 Freightliner M2 garbage truck, which was being driven by a Greensboro man, and King said the vehicle caught fire after the collision.

Troopers said Neese was pronounced dead at the scene and the two children were injured in the crash and airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.

King said the fatal crash happened at about 7:45 a.m. Friday morning on Alabama 14, approximately 10 miles east of Eutaw, in Hale County. Neese was a resident of Eutaw, Troopers reported.

No other information was available about the deadly accident on Tuesday afternoon.
