DCH Hires Former UA Police Officer to Lead Security at Northport Medical Center

DCH Health System has hired a veteran law enforcement officer to lead security operations at its Northport Medical Center.

Patrick Hinkle, a former sworn officer with the University of Alabama Police Department, has joined DCH as Security Supervisor at NMC off McFarland Boulevard in Northport.

In a Tuesday announcement, DCH said he brings 24 years of law enforcement experience spanning patrol, investigations, homicide, training, emergency preparedness, K-9 handling, and community-oriented policing.

Hinkle joins a sworn officer already serving at DCH Regional Medical Center, with DCH citing his hire as part of its broader commitment to safety for patients, visitors and staff across its campuses.
