Multi-Car Crash Closes Downtown Tuscaloosa Bridge Wednesday

A multi-vehicle accident has closed traffic on a bridge in downtown Tuscaloosa Wednesday night.

Traffic cameras appear to show and witnesses on the scene say at least three vehicles were involved in the accident, which took place at the intersection of University Boulevard and Lurleen Wallace Boulevard before 9:45 p.m.

The accident has closed the northbound lanes of the Lurleen Wallace bridge over the Black Warrior River into Northport while crews work to clear the scene.

ALGO Tuscaloosa reports the wreck involves an overturned vehicle and said to expect major delays.
