Moundville Man Charged With Murder After Sawyerville Stabbing
A Moundville man has been arrested and charged with murder after he allegedly killed another man with a foot-long knife during a fight in Sawyerville on Friday.
According to court documents filed on Monday, the trouble started at a park in the Hale County, which sits about 40 miles south of Tuscaloosa.
The suspect, Charles Wilson, was reportedly there working for a second man installing lights at a park on Topaz Road near the store and post office in Sawyerville.

A third man, Don Corneilius Fields, came by and was asked to join the effort.
Investigators say Wilson became mad and said Fields was "trying to cut in on his money," and pulled out a 12-inch knife. Fields reportedly tried to walk away, but Wilson pursued him. Fields reportedly picked up a wooden board and swung it, but failed to hit Wilson or stop his advance.
The court documents say Wilson, a 22-year-old Moundville man, stabbed Fields in his chest. Someone got the victim to the Hale County Hospital in a private vehicle, but Fields died there soon after.
Three witnesses called Wilson the aggressor, police said, and he was arrested and charged with murder and jailed in Hale County without bond.
