A West Alabama woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Hale County Monday morning, the State Troopers have confirmed.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said 36-year-old Leslie Richardson was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry on Hale County Road 51 when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

King said Richardson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and did not survive the injuries she sustained - she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Troopers report that crash happened near where CR-51 meets Starling Road, about 15 miles north of Greensboro.

No other details were available Monday afternoon.
