Commercial Vehicle Crash Closes I-20/59 South Near Tuscaloosa
UPDATE: The southbound left lane of Interstate 59 near the 65-mile marker in Tuscaloosa County is currently open.
Southbound lanes of Interstate 20/59 are blocked in Tuscaloosa County Wednesday morning following a commercial vehicle crash, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Trooper Jaylon James, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said the single-vehicle crash happened a few minutes before 8 a.m. near mile marker 66, just west of Tuscaloosa. Southbound lanes are blocked for an undetermined amount of time.
James said troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation.
