Black History Maker of Alabama - DeMario Pippen

DeMario Pippen is a 2008 graduate of Central High School. While at Central Pippen was selected as a Max Emfinger All American 2007, All Stats Selection 2007, and won a state championship in 2007 all within the sport of football.

Married to Courtney Pippen with two daughters Cari Pippen (10) and Amari Pippen (5), Pippen attend college at Jackson state university and was the first of his family to attend college. family to go to college. While at JSU Pippen was an HBCU Bowl All American in 2012.

"Black history in Alabama means everything to me because we’re a key piece in pushing society forward through the many trials and tribulations we face as a state."

After a stint with the Denver Broncos in 2012, Pippen became the Owner of MudWork LLC which focuses on player development.

MudWork hosts yearly youth football camps, basketball tournaments, food giveaways, and they provide youth mentorship.

Pippen was Head Coach of the basketball team at Westlawn middle school from 2015-2018, Head track coach at Central high school 2016-2018, head football, basketball and Athletic Director at Eastwood middle school 2020-2023.

Currently, Pippen is the new Head Coach of the team he helped win a State Championship, Central High School.
