Tuscaloosa Students Can Learn About College at This Free Event
College prep is something that high schoolers across Tuscaloosa county want to learn more about. This Saturday March 30th, there is a free event in Tuscaloosa that will provide students the opportunity to learn about college experiences, the true ins and outs on the application process and more.
Alpha Omicron Kappa also known as AOK, is a leadership development organization for high school girls. AOK's focus is community service and academic excellence which all started in the fall of 2006, and began as an official organization in 2007.
March 30th, AOK will host their second College Talk 101 event at 12:30p inside the gym at the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama.
The event is specifically for high school students in West Alabama. It will feature a panel of current college students, and recent college graduates who will answer common questions about the college experience as well as any question asked from the audience.
The goal of this event is to create an interactive experience for high school students where they can walk away with a better understanding of all things surrounding college life. there will be door prizes given away at this event.
College Talk 101 will take place Saturday March 30th inside the gym of the West Alabama Boys and Girls Club at 12:30p.
