Am I the only one that spends an absurd amount of time on Tik Tok looking at food recipes?

This latest recipe I tried was solely for my wife who is a seafood lover at heart. I came across a video of a dish we've both never had before and this Tik Tok trend made it affordable and easy to recreate at home in your own kitchen.

Have you ever had oysters rockefeller?

After watching a few videos on how to make this, I was determined to surprise my wife with my own version of this for a quick mother's day treat at home.

I didn't have any shredded parmesan so I used grated instead and the only shredded cheese I had in the fridge. I also added a few of my favorite seasonings in the mix.

I made two batches of what Tik Tok is calling the poor man's oysters rockefeller. the first batch I drained most of the oil from the can, the other I didn't.

After preparing the cans of oysters and preheating my oven, I decided to use the broil method instead of baking them. I let them broil on high for about 6 minutes. The cool thing is, you can bake them, boil them or use an air fryer.

I'll tell you now, my only regret is not making more! It was absolutely one of the best quick dishes I've had in a while! It didn't taste cheap either.
