During April, a talk show exploring the past, present, and future of Stillman College will air on 92.9 WTUG on Saturdays at 11 a.m. Titled Stillman College Insights, the program is sponsored by the National Alumni Association of Stillman College and hosted by Stillman College alumna, Jasmyne “Yo Baylahh.”

Stillman College Insights will also highlight Health Initiatives impacting West Alabama’s Black Belt Communities, while supporting efforts to grow the enrollment at Stillman College.

Guests for the Saturday, April 11 show will include Stillman College President Dr. Yolanda W. Page, Stillman College Executive Director of faith-based and social justice initiatives Dr. Gordon Govens, and Project Director for the West Alabama Cardiovascular Health program Ms. Tiffany Gray.

Host Yo Baylahh will guide a conversation on “health disparities, alumni involvement, and high school recruitment, including scholarships for students interested in the STEM field,” said the press release.

In addition, the show will share information on the Pickens County Community Outreach meeting on Saturday, April 18, at the National Guard Armory in Aliceville, Alabama, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
