The National Weather Service has issued another severe weather statement for portions of Townsquare Media's weather coverage areas.

Storms with the risk of becoming severe will move west-to-east over much of Alabama including some that are expected to arrive overnight and into Friday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, strong thunderstorms are moving through the area, and are set to affect the following counties:

Autauga

Chilton

Tuscaloosa

Perry

Greene

Hale

Lowndes

Dallas

Hail about half of an inch in size is expected to rain down, along with wind gusts of up to 40 MPH.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 5:00 AM CT for
central, south-central, southwestern, and west-central Alabama.
