Personally, I frequent cities in Texas and Georgia, and an occasional trip to Louisiana never hurts. By far, Florida is the state I visit the most since it's my home state.

When visiting places, I like finding out about restaurants that aren't big chain restaurants. I can visit a national burger joint anywhere. Point me to the local places that are owned and operated by residents in that city, and you can't find them in 40 other cities nationwide.
