While later rounds often see teams hunting for hidden gems, the Colts may have found something more: a battle-tested powerhouse with Southeastern Conference grit and championship pedigree.

During his time at Alabama, Smith built a great resume against some of the nation's best competition. He tallied 125 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass deflection. His combination of size, strength, and disruption made him a key contributor at Alabama.

At 6-foot-4 and 314 pounds, Smith embodies a relentless motor. What separates Smith is  his physical tools and experience in a system that demands discipline and toughness.

With the opportunity to earn himself a roster spot, he could translate well in the next level. For the Colts, who have been looking to bolster their defensive front, Smith brings not only depth but real potential.
