The Alabama Crimson Tide are remaining active in the transfer portal. They've also lost several players from the 2023-2024 Final Four run to the transfer portal. However, the Tide does have some good transfer portal news, with Alabama bringing in three guards from the transfer portal, and are in the final running for two forwards, Clifford Omorouyi and Jonas Aidoo.

With the departures to the transfer portal and potentially the NBA pending Mark Sears's final decision and Grant Nelson's decision, the Alabama roster will look drastically different from the April Final Four run. However, not every starter for 2024 will be new.

Alabama starting guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. is expected to stay with Alabama and play out his final year of college eligibility, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Wrightsell spent his first three seasons of college basketball at Cal State Fullerton before joining Alabama in 2023. In his lone season with the Tide, Wrightsell averaged 8.9 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, and 1.4 points per game. His highest-scoring game came against LSU when he scored 21 points and shot a staggering 6-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Wrightsell was Alabama's best statistical three-point shooter from a season ago. He shot 44.7% from three last season. He also shot 44.6% from the field and was perfect from the free-throw line.

His defense is arguably one of the best aspects of his game, and he'll be vital to Alabama improving from the 111th-ranked defense according to Kenpom in 2023-2024.

Tide 100.9 is keeping a tracker of the Alabama men's basketball roster as they transition from the 2023-2024 season to the 2024-2025 season. You can view the tracker here.
