The Longhorns mopped the floor with the Oklahoma Sooners, 34-3, in Quinn Ewers' first action since injuring his oblique against UTSA in week three. Texas hosts a huge conference matchup this weekend, with the Georgia Bulldogs coming to town.

The Crimson Tide narrowly escaped the South Carolina Gamecocks at home, 27-25. It wasn't the tune-up game Alabama wanted, but nonetheless, the Crimson Tide travels to Knoxville, Tennessee for a date with the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend.

Arkansas had a bye week to repair the goalposts following a week six upset over Tennessee, 19-14. The Razorbacks return to action this weekend in a rivalry game with a high-flying LSU football team.

Tennessee needed overtime to defeat its rival, Florida, 23-17. It wasn't what the Volunteers wanted with a powerful Alabama offense coming into town this weekend, but the Third Saturday in October is still one of the most anticipated matchups of the weekend.

8 - Vanderbilt Commodores (4-2, 2-1)

The Commodores showed they meant business with a 20-13 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats last weekend. Hopefully, Vanderbilt repaired the goalposts after their upset of Alabama, with the Commodores returning home this weekend against Ball State. Vanderbilt is hoping for a tune-up game, hosting top-ranked Texas the week after.

9 - Missouri Tigers (5-1, 1-1)

It was odd seeing Missouri head to UMass for a road game, regardless, Missouri handled what it needed to in a 45-3 victory. The Tigers will return to the Southeast to host the Auburn Tigers this weekend.

10 - Florida Gators (3-3, 1-2)

The Gators had a chance to potentially save their season, and Billy Napier's job, if they pulled off the upset of the Tennessee Volunteers. Instead, Florida lost 23-17 in overtime. The future is not as bleak as some might think, despite losing starting quarterback Graham Mertz for the season. DJ Lagway made some "grown-up" plays in a hostile environment, but it may be too little too late. Florida will host Kentucky this weekend before the gauntlet begins.

11 - Ole Miss (4-2, 1-2)

Ole Miss fell victim to Death Valley and LSU, losing to the Tigers in overtime 29-26. Ole Miss has its back against the wall for the remainder of the season, but they have a bye week to figure things out before hosting Oklahoma.

Oklahoma got destroyed by the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry 34-3. Oklahoma hosts South Carolina this weekend, as they continue through their first season in the SEC.
