Richard Hendrix, a former All-American and NBA draft pick, along with 13 other former players was named to the 2024 Southeastern Conference Basketball Legends.

Hendrix and company will be honored at the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament which will take place in Nashville from March 13-17.

Hendrix was drafted in the second round by the Golden State Warriors in the 2008 NBA Draft following three seasons at the University of Alabama.

In his final season in Tuscaloosa, Hendrix averaged a double-double with 17.8 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game to earn First-Team All-SEC honors. He finished his career at Alabama with a 62.9 field goal percentage which ranks fifth all-time in Alabama history. He also collected 152 blocks which is 10th on the all-time list.

His most notable single game performance came against Troy on November 3, 2007, where he snatched 23 rebounds which is 10th most in a game in school history.

Following a few seasons in the NBA, Hendrix moved overseas where he was named a starter for the 2009 NBDL All-Star game and the Spanish League Newcomer of the Year in 2009.

Once Hendrix retired in 2021, he began his broadcasting career at the SEC Network where he appears as an analyst.
