On Sunday, the Arkansas Razorbacks set the college basketball world on fire. The Razorbacks went out and hired the active head coach of the No. 1 program in the history of the SEC, the Kentucky Wildcats.

Now former Kentucky head coach John Calipari had a $30 million buyout from the Wildcats if they wanted to get rid of the former national champion. However, because Arkansas hired him away, the Razorbacks didn't owe any money to Coach Cal's former program.

Why is that important? It saves Kentucky $30 million, which can now go towards a new head coach's buyout, that coach's contract, and allow him to build a staff. Nate Oats signed a contract extension in March that gave him the highest buyout in college basketball at $18 million. Reports that that number is not an issue for Kentucky had Crimson Tide fans nervous, but there's nothing to be afraid of anymore.

In his statement, Oats reaffirms his commitment to Alabama and says he wants nothing more than to bring Alabama its first men's basketball national championship.

Greg Byrne also released a statement with Oats.

Byrne highlights the importance of Yea Alabama and how he wants to also help Alabama pursue their first basketball title.

These statements are coming off the heels of Alabama making the first-ever Final Four in program history. Oats had a message of "We'll be back" for Crimson Tide fans following their loss to UConn on Saturday night.
