JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - On Sunday, quarterback Trevor Lawrence left the game after sustaining a concussion from a hit by Azeez Al-Shaair of the Houston Texans. He was subsequently replaced by Mac Jones, the former Alabama quarterback who previously played for the New England Patriots and is now serving as Lawrence's backup.

The Jaguars ultimately fell to the Texans with a score of 23-20, but Jones recorded an impressive performance stat, marking a significant improvement from his initial start of the season in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.

He completed 20 of 32 passes for 235 yards, for two touchdowns without any interceptions. On Wednesday, Ian Rapoport reported that Lawrence would be placed on injured reserve for the next four games due to the concussion, in addition to dealing with a shoulder injury.

Rapoport also believes that Lawrence's season will more than likely come to an end, with Jones set to take the helm in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans.
