Jalen Milroe Responds to Auburn Comments

Auburn freshman linebacker DeMarcus Riddick spoke to the media on Monday, making comments about Alabama freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams and Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe.

"He is a good quarterback. He’s fast, but I mean, he’s not faster than me. He will not get out of that box this week," Riddick said on Milroe.

Milroe was asked about the comments by Riddick on Tuesday during player availability at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility.

"I don't even know who that is," Milroe said. "Let him talk."

Milroe is 1-0 against Auburn as Alabama's starting quarterback, defeating the Tigers in a 27-24 thrilling victory last season in Jordan-Hare. Milroe can become the second straight quarterback to go undefeated against Auburn, with Bryce Young going 2-0 against Auburn as a starting quarterback of Alabama.

Milroe went on to discuss what Alabama needs to do to win on Saturday, "It's all about just executing what we need to do so we can be our best us."

Milroe took one more shot at Riddick, "But I mean, good on him."

Alabama will kickoff against Auburn on Saturday, November 30, at 2:30 p.m. CT. The Crimson Tide can finish the regular season 9-3 with a victory over the Auburn Tigers on Saturday.
