Selected 45th overall in the second round of the 2023 draft, Branch has seamlessly integrated into Aaron Glenn’s defensive scheme.

During the matchup against the Cowboys, Branch recorded six tackles, two interceptions a forced fumble, and one quarterback hurry, earning him the title of Detroit Lions Player of the Game. He became the first player in the NFC and fourth overall in the NFL this season to record multiple interceptions in a game.

Branch also received his first-career Defensive Player of the Week award, marking the fourth-consecutive season a Lions defensive back has achieved this honor, following, Ifeatu Melifonwu (Week 16, 2023), Kerby Joseph (Week 9, 2022) and Tracy Walker (Week 18, 2021).

He is the third former Alabama defensive back to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors this season, joining Green Bay’s Xavier McKinney (Week 5, NFC) and Denver’s Pat Surtain II (Week 5, AFC).

As the Lions aim for another shot at the NFC title game, fans and critics alike can expect Branch to continue building his impressive resume and remain a crucial asset for the Lions.
