Talking About It

Sports columnist Kevin Scarbinsky talked about the situation Tuesday morning on "Inside the Locker Room" with Wimp and Barry Sanderson.

Is it petty?

Scarbinsky explained that the action is unsurprising. "There's a long tradition in college athletics," he said, "of being snarky and snide...if you're gonna treat us poorly, we're gonna treat you poorly."

"It's old testament, rather new testament," he laughed.

What Comes Next

Despite this understanding, Scarbinsky pushed back on last year's decision. "I think Alabama still should have sent its road band."

And maybe they will the next time they get a chance--it was just made official that Texas would be sending their band to Bryant-Denny.

So who's really petty now?
