A Pair of Former Alabama Players to Announce Draft Picks

GREEN BAY, Wis. - On April 17, NFL Communications revealed a list of former and current players that will be present to announce draft picks for the 2025 NFL Draft. Among those selected were former Alabama players Terrion Arnold and Shaun Alexander.

Arnold, who was selected No. 24 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, earned himself a starting spot in a talented Lions secondary. Now, he is entering his second season with the Lions. On Day 2 of the draft, he will be the sole representative for the Lions, who posses draft picks in Round 2 (No. 60) and Round 3 (No. 102). The team aims to address needs in positions such as edge rusher, cornerback, wide receiver, offensive guard, and offensive tackle.

Meanwhile, Seattle Seahawks legend Shaun Alexander, who was the 19th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, spent eight of his nine NFL seasons with the Seahawks, winning the NFL MVP award in 2005 after leading the league in rushing and setting a record with 27 rushing touchdowns in a single season.

He will announce on Day 2 for the Seahawks, who have two picks in both Rounds 2 and 3, with their focus on filling gaps in offensive guard, linebacker, offensive tackle, and quarterback.

The 2025 NFL Draft Day 2 will kick off at 7 p.m. EST, with Rounds 2 and 3 broadcasted on ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, and NFL Network, and available for streaming on ESPN+ and NFL+.

Day 1: Thursday, April 24: Round 1, 8 p.m. EST

Day 2: Friday, April 25: Rounds 2-3, 7 p.m. EST

Day 3: Saturday, April 26: Rounds 4-7, noon EST
