Is Today A Good Day To Invest?

Is it wise for you to risk investing on today, or should you wait for a "break" that could possibly make you rich instantly? Old wise Solomon stated, "Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return" (Ecclesiastes 11:1). This simply means that you should invest prayerfully and wisely, and be patient because it perhaps may require many days" before you can realize a return. The get-rich-quick mentality is not scriptural "invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight: you do not know what disaster may come upon the land" (Ecclesiastes 11:2) So invest, but diversify and allow for market fluctuations. The is a play-it-wise approach, not a play-it-safe one. Be faith driven instead of fear-driven. Fear allows the unpredictable to determine your actions. Godly wisdom plus faith, is the key to investing. Waiting for "the ideal time" will keep you paralyzed. If you really think about it, success is not in the absence of challenges, it's having the wisdom to manage them and keep moving ahead. The Bible says, "Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap." (Ecclesiastes 11:4). If you allow the odds to deter you, you will never sow, which means you will never reap. Actually the bottom like is this: Life is full of unknowns, and just as you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, you cannot understand the work of God" (Ecclesiastes 11:5). It is now necessary to know it all or be able to predict the outcome. Simply seek G, then act on the wisdom He gives you (James 1:5). It's not for you to really understand how God is going to work on your behalf, you only need to believe that He can and will.
