Is The New Mississippi Anti-LGBTQ Law Another form of Discrimination?

Last week the state of Mississippi passed an incredible package of legislature that allows businesses in the the state to outright refuse service to LGBTQ persons.This new law will allow business owners to refuse service based on their "moral convictions and also make it possible for persons to be fired or refused housing based on their religious beliefs.

Restaurant owners around the state of Mississippi are concerned about how this law will affect their businesses, and are currently taking a proactive position by announcing  a campaign that they are calling "Everyone's Welcome Here." As somewhat of press release, the Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association will issue door decals indicating the slogan to participating restaurants that desire to assert they will not be taking advantage of the law which discriminates against potential customers; they will also list participating restaurants in an online directory.
